I've been using Remember the Milk as a personal task manager for 5 years now, but I ended up being quite bored by the bad usability of its web interface (the Android app is fine). For that reason, I decided to do some research about the alternatives and found very good opinions on Producteev. I spent many hours trying to figure out a way to dual-boot Ubuntu in a Sony Vaio SVS13115FBB laptop with Windows 7 64-bit. Of course, the difficulties arose because I didn't want to use the legacy BIOS mode (I also kept GPT in the disk, by the way - no intention of switching to MBR).

Although data distribution was very good in this test, the performance was really crappy, so I supposed Mnesia was doing some copying around of the hash_state (which contains the tree I use for consistent hashing).

Actually, the rehashing scheme has two important properties:
No data will need to be moved to any fragment that is not the new one.
